Steven Bock has been immersed in dance since 1983 and teaching professionally since 1984.
With experience spanning Ballroom, Latin, Tap, Jazz, Classical Ballet, Creative and Modern Dance, Stephen brings depth, structure and clarity to social dance education — both in-studio and online.
Australian Champion & International Competitor
In 1984, Steven became an Australian Champion and represented Australia at the South Pacific Ballroom Dancing Championships in Auckland, New Zealand — winning the Pro-Am Championship in both Ballroom and Latin.
He successfully defended this title in 1985 and was also crowned Combined Society Australian Champion in Latin American that same year.
These achievements built the technical foundation that still underpins his teaching today.
National Dance Director and Educator
Steven’s career progressed beyond competition into leadership and education.
He served as a full-time lecturer at Kuring-gai College of Advanced Education (now part of the University of Technology Sydney) before moving into senior instructional and management roles within internationally recognised dance systems.
As National Dance Director, he oversaw instructor training and teaching standards across Australia — shaping not only students, but teachers.
